লাঙ্গলেতে জং সেই কবে, (দেইখা) বাম দিকে সব বোকা,
দাঁড়িপাল্লার দাড়ির জটে মাটির 'পরে লাশ
এই মাটিতে দেব-দেবতা আইসাই যে খায় বাঁশ!
দেব-দেবতা মায়ার জটে নিজেরে না চেনে
মাটির কলস প্রাধান্য পায়, হাওয়ার বসত ফেলে
আদমগুলো অ-দম হইয়া দমের খোঁজে হাওয়া
নিজের বসত হেলা কইরা অন্যেরে দেয় ধাওয়া
আরে দমের খোঁজে অধৈর্য্য মন আগুন জ্বালায় পুড়ে
প্রজন্ম চত্বরে বইসা গায় সে দহন সুরে
দহনে দহনে জ্বালা জলের খোঁজে এবার
দেবীর প'রে মাথা ঠেকায় - সময় হইলো সেবার
